Mr. Ormand is part of the Firm’s Business Section. He has an extensive corporate background both a counsel and as manager of business operations. He has handled the legal work for a wide variety of corporation transactions, including the purchase and sale of many business operations.
Mr. Ormand has functioned as general counsel for numerous corporations, both public and privately owned. His involvement with public corporations included participation in a wide variety of SEC compliance filings, listing applications filed with the American Stock Exchange, preparation of proxy materials for shareholder meetings, and proxy solicitations.
Mr. Ormand has been the CEO of a public corporation, and in such capacity was involved in the management of business operations in many different industries. One of such businesses had an oil and gas service unit that operated in numerous countries, primarily in the Middle East.
As general counsel for a PEO (Professional Employer Organization), Mr. Ormand is a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Association of Alternative Staffing, and handled a wide variety of employment law matters.
Mr. Ormand was born in Evansville, Indiana on July 11, 1941.
