He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1968. In law school, Mr. Young served as a director of the Legal Research Board and was a member of the Order of Barristers. He was also a member of the winning teams for oral advocacy in the Hildebrandt Moot court competition and the University of Texas State Bar Moot Court competition.
Mr. Young was born in Beaumont, Texas, in 1946.
