Mr. Bishops' practice is concentrated in commercial real estate with an emphasis on commercial development (retail, office, multifamily and land). Mr. Bishop has extensive experience in title, survey and easement issues arising out of commercial real estate development. Mr. Bishop also has extensive experience in structuring the formation of joint venture partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations to acquire, develop and operate commercial properties. Mr. Bishop has represented financial institutions (including banks, savings & loans and national commercial credit companies) in commercial lending transactions, including letter of credit financing, asset-based lending, equipment, inventory (including floor planning) and account receivable lending, rediscount, mezzanine financing and mortgage lending throughout the United States. Additionally, Mr. Bishop has represented clients in acquiring over two billion dollars in assorted debt instruments from the FDIC, RTC and third parties.

Mr. Bishop graduated from the University of Texas in 1973 with a B.A. He received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1975, and was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1976. Mr. Bishop is a member of the State Bar of Texas.
