Mr. Hollingsworth's practice areas include business litigation, family law, and business law. He has represented businesses from a wide range of industries, and of varied sized, in numerous business to business disputes involving breach of contract, commercial fraud, negligent misrepresentation and tortious interference, and breach of fiduciary duty cases.
Mr. Hollingsworth has tried dozens of cases for Plaintiffs and Defendants in covenant not to compete, misappropriation of trade secrets, and pre-departure sabotage alleged against former employees. Because these cases are often effectively decided within two weeks of filing - at the temporary injunction hearing - experience and a solid working knowledge of the law in this area is critical.
While most of Mr. Hollingsworth's clients come to him with litigation issues, many stay with him and receive counsel on a range of matters involving the daily operations of their businesses, the purchase or sale of their businesses, and advice on wealth protection for individuals.

Representative Engagements:
Trial counsel for a joint venture partner of Shell Oil Company in which the jury awarded over $18 million in compensatory and punitive damages.
Counsel for a Fortune 10 oil company in its prosecution of a $500 million price fixing and market allocation antitrust suit against offshore heavy lift service providers. Co-Plaintiffs included every major oil company in the western world.
Represented numerous stock brokers and their new employers in the pre-arbitration litigation that arises when brokers leave their old brokerage house.
Tried a lawsuit by a major industrial manufacturer from North Texas who developed a product line with the help of a vendor, only to have that vendor co-opt the product line and start selling it in direct competition with its client.
Prosecuted and defended dozens of covenant not to compete, confidentiality agreements, and trade secrets cases on behalf of individuals and companies. The industries involved in these cases range from stock brokers and their employees to a roof paint manufacturer to a custom suit maker to a home healthcare agency.
Coordinated a staff of 10 engineers in the investigation of a pipeline blowout in Abilene, Texas that resulted in the death of an Abilene Police Detective.
Supervised the situs investigation of 15 environmental scientists in analyzing the presence of lead and other environmental contaminants in the village of El Florido in Baja California, Mexico. Discovered that water contamination and runoff from a battery manufacturer more than a mile from the site were the primary source of contamination of inhabitants environment.
Lead defense counsel in a $500 million nationwide class action against a multi-national financial institution, relating to vanishing premiums life insurance policies.
Prosecuted a class action on behalf of all physicians in a three county North Texas area against an HMO that was attempting to induce doctors to prescribe less medicine to their patients.
Tried numerous cases involving commercial landlord/tenant matters.
Trial counsel for numerous transportation brokerages in litigation arising from competition between a departing transportation brokerage and the broker's former employer.
