Robert Maris practices in the areas of business, commercial law and litigation, involving mortgage lending, creditor-debtor relations, general business matters, contract disputes, construction and real estate disputes. Representing businesses and individuals throughout Texas, Mr. Maris handles a broad scope of state and federal litigation and appeals including matters before the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Maris has comprehensive knowledge of the courts and judges in northern Texas, derived from more than three decades of practice in federal and state courts. He also has extensive trial experience in many civil courts in the Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton and McKinney areas.

Robert’s philosophy is to find practical solutions to legal problems. While vigorously advocating his clients’ interests in all litigation, he first seeks alternative means to resolve civil and commercial disputes in his client’s favor, such as arbitration, contract negotiations, renegotiations, work-out arrangements and strategic use of mediation before going to trial.

Where litigation cannot be avoided, Robert works with clients along with firm associates to prepare winning cases by thorough investigation and discovery. He emphasizes efficient and careful case development, which avoids unnecessary costs and disruption to the client’s ongoing business activities.

Mr. Maris believes that any case worth trying is worth trying well, which his trial record demonstrates.
